Healthy Obsession and Running

Updated: Jan 5, 2023

Get ready to get obsessed with taking care of yourself. Is anyone else so over sick kids, illnesses, stress, and more? I cannot wait to switch things up from half marathon training to a short focus on total core strength this season.

What is Healthy Obsession?

Healthy Obsession is a fresh, new take on the original program that delivers the same kind of incredible results the trainer, Autumn Calabrese is known for.

It’s designed to challenge, motivate, and inspire you while delivering an ultra-effective total-body workout with rewards you can see and feel.

Whether you need to bust out of a fitness rut or want to level up, Healthy Obsession helps you go all-in on your commitment to yourself — right before the holiday season kicks in.

Build strong, lean muscles and get into your healthiest mindset so you can feel your best during the most hectic time of year.

What Workouts are a Part of Healthy Obsession?

For the first 3 weeks, you’ll work out 5 days a week for 60 minutes a day.

The 4th week is a functional recovery week, when you’ll take down the pace and do just two 60-minute workouts.

During this functional recovery week, we lower the intensity in order to help you transition into whatever workouts you are tackling next. This is the same way that runners should train, so building it into the strength routine too is an excellent addition.

Each day during the first 3 weeks of Healthy Obsession, Autumn will take you through a different workout that’s modeled after the original 80 Day Obsession program.

There also will be 3 optional bike rides that can be swapped in on your Cardio Fusion workouts. And of course, I will have a strength and run schedule.

You can check out a free sample workout here.

Why Healthy Obsession and Running?

Healthy Obsession and running are a great combination because core strength is so important to running. Studies have found that runners who complete core strengthening programs have improved balance, core endurance, and running economy. In non-academic speak, that means they could run farther and faster without changing their running training at all. Adding in strength training caused the change!

What do I need to complete “Healthy Obsession”?

You'll need a set of Resistance Loops and slides as well as light, medium, and heavy weights. A mat, foam roller, and stationary bike are optional.

What support will I have?

I cannot wait to start this group with you! Healthy Obsession is about getting obsessed with taking care of yourself! This group will be in a private app, off of social media!

You’ll get a custom run + strength training plan, meal plans, daily tips, and check-ins to motivate, commiserate, and inspire. It is a great place to answer questions, brainstorm, and just enjoy the community.
